Lizzie Cowan, Urban Designer at Tibbalds, in partnership with university friend Megan Barrett, Architect, has been commended in the RIBA Forgotten Spaces competition 2011.  The competition encourages entrants to consider uses for underused and forgotten spaces within the Greater London area and generate ideas that could release their potential and benefit the local community.

Tibbalds day trip to Margate

Every year Tibbalds close their office for a day and make a visit to a town or city that has undergone significant change. So on a Friday in September we all caught a train for a day trip to Margate. Members of the team had worked on a masterplan for parts of Margate just under 10 years ago and were keen to see what its impact had been.

Planning permission granted for 3 & 10 Finsbury Square redevelopment

Following a public inquiry in April this year, planning inspector, Brendon Lyons allowed the appeal for redevelopment of the site to provide a new, high quality office building at this unique site in-between Finsbury Square and the Honorable Artillery grounds in Islington, London.




Old Dairy proposals win NLA award

Proposals for redevelopment of the Old Dairy site at Wakefield Street WC1, have been awarded the prize for the best unbuilt development in the ‘Living’ category at the first ever New London Awards.
