Consultation on proposals for a 33 hectare site to the west of Sittingbourne will take place between the 24th January and the 8th March 2010. 

The Stones Farm site was allocated for about 600 houses and 15 ha of informal public open space in the Swale Borough Local Plan 2008.  The Plan’s policies required the preparation of a Development Brief to resolve various detailed issues and to guide the preparation of future planning applications.  The initial development options set out in the development brief consider a range of issues for the site, in particular how the proposals will relate to Kent County Councils proposed Sittingbourne Northern Relief Road, which may pass through the site.
