Tibbalds’ very own ‘Wonder Woman’ Jennifer Ross took to the cooling waters of Windsor’s Dawney Lake on a sizzling Friday 3rd July to contend in the third Property Week Triathlon.  2,050 property professionals competed in the event, which raised more than £60,000 for the Children’s Trust and cancer charity Orchid.

The UK’s fifth largest triathlon consisted of a 750 m swim, 20 km cycle ride and 5 km run.  Jennifer joined the small and select group of women over 40 and surprised all, including herself with the impressive time of 1 hour 41 minutes, despite many competitors being thrown by the late ban on wetsuits to combat the warm weather.  Plans are already underfoot to improve on this time in next year’s event, and include contingencies such as not chatting during transition periods!

Jennifer was joined by a surprise competitor; Formula One World Championship Leader ‘Jason Britton’ A.K.A. Jenson Button, who is a keen triathlete and often enters under this pseudonym.

Discussions are now underway to decide who from Tibbalds will form a team for the next event.  Watch this space.
