Hampshire has a unique multi-disciplinary approach to securing high quality development on surplus Council owned land.

Tibbalds is retained as the Council’s planning and urban design framework consultant.

Our work includes preparing development briefs for sites, submitting outline planning applications, securing consents and handling the urban design aspects of the land disposal process.

We act for the Council during the preparation of Development Plan reviews and represent the interests and views of the Estates Department in its role as a public service provider and public landowner.

This involves making representations on draft policy and appearing at Development Plan Inquiries. As a result, in a number of cases, supportive policies have been incorporated in plans and Council owned sites have been designated as development proposals.
