- Oldham and Rochdale Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder |
The
Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder for Oldham and Rochdale aims to
stimulate significant change in the area. This presents an opportunity
to raise the quality of development. Tibbalds was commissioned to
produce Design Guides for development control use that promote high
quality design and provide a robust policy basis for appeals. The
two local authorities will adopt them as part of the Local Development
Framework.
Our innovative approach integrated an intensive consultation process,
using stakeholder workshops, into the development of the guides.
This was accompanied by in-depth analysis of the area to provide
a thorough understanding of the character of the towns, the urban
design problems and opportunities, and the potential for change.
We produced a suite of four design guides:
